PREP Relationship Coaching

PREP stands for Prevention Relationship Enrichment Program. It is an empirically based program developed by researchers  who studied and treated couples and what makes relationships work.

The training incorporates cognitive behavioral techniques to prevent marriage breakdown and divorce. This program is for committed couples (stable long term, engaged or married).

If you are contemplating separation or divorce, couples' therapy is a better option and is also offered.

Some of the benefits of the program include:

  • Improved Communication: Relationship training helps individuals and couples develop better communication skills, leading to more open and honest conversations. It can teach how to listen actively, express needs and emotions clearly, and resolve misunderstandings.

  • Conflict Resolution: Training can help identify patterns of conflict and provide strategies for resolving disagreements in a healthy way. This includes teaching how to navigate tough conversations without escalating tension.

  • Increased Emotional Intimacy: Relationship coaching often emphasizes understanding and empathy. This helps people connect on a deeper emotional level, which strengthens the bond between partners, friends, or colleagues.

  • Clarifying Goals and Expectations: Sometimes, issues arise because people aren’t clear about their relationship goals or what they expect from the other person. Training can help align both parties on shared goals and realistic expectations.

  • Strengthening Trust: Couples or individuals can work on rebuilding trust if it's been damaged, or develop practices that foster and maintain trust in the relationship.

  • Building Confidence: PREP trainings often help people build self-esteem and confidence, which can improve the overall dynamics of relationships, leading to healthier interactions and a sense of empowerment.

  • Accountability: Having a coach provides an external source of support and accountability. You’ll have someone who is invested in your success and can encourage you to stay on track with your relationship goals.
